From TLA: Watt Seconds In The World Of Elinchrom

Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way…. That’s the definition of Watt seconds and even if you understand what it all means, it doesn’t really tell you much because it’s not specifying an output value and there’s no way to make direct comparisons between brands due to the many differences (electrical and mechanical) in design. Shooting on location with studio strobes has always been something of an issue. Battery life was a problem if you were firing your lights at full power or using more than one strobe at a time, and bi-voltage strobes were either glitchy or incompatible. Innovatronix has been producing excellent portable battery solutions for many years and the new Explorer XT3 appears to be even better than previous batteries and quite a performer.
