Product Advisory: Tronix Explorer XT Charging Design Revision

Tronix Explorer XT Charging Design Revision

To address the issues from users to the buzzing sound that the Explorer XT unit makes while charging (to the point of being noisy to most users) , we have removed the charger fan on the Explorer XT units.

(The Explorer XT still has the inverter fan, which run while the unit is turned on, only the charger fan is removed).

With charger fan:
Advantage – fast recharging, about 3 hours
Disadvantage – buzzing sound, noisy to some users

Units with SNs starting 300303 for North American model and 501760 for Asia-Pacific/European models will no longer have the charger fan.

These units have the same intrinsic design, quality and reliability levels, only the newer units will take up to 5 hours to be fully charged.

Without charger fan:
Advantage - quite while charging
Disadvantage – full charging will take about 5 hours

Users can still charge it overnight to ensure full and proper charging. And when not in use, charge the unit once or twice a month to ensure longer battery life by preventing the batteries from drying up.
