July 20, 2009 Update

We will be releasing compatibility results with the Elinchrom BXri 500 soon (along with Profoto Compact Plus units).

June 16, 2009

To all BXri unit users:
- If you intend to use the Explorer XT to power up this monolight from Elinchrom, please be advised that at the moment, we are not recommending this combination.
- While if you connect the Explorer XT to the BXri, it will appear to be working, but since we haven't completed testing and possible ill-effects on the units, we cannot recommend it yet.
- Please refer to our compatibility chart:

  1. A note from Bogen:
Elinchrom does not recommend the use of Explorer XT with any of thier compact heads or a/c packs. Damage can occurr to the electronics of the flash if they are powered by an Explorer XT.

  2. @Mark :
That's what I would say if I were Elinchrom; they just want you to buy the Ranger/Quadra packs.

I have two Tronix 2400 w/s generators and they work fine with the RX-series. Have been using this combo for about a year now.
